I want to start writing letters to you. I got the idea from a video our children's minister played for us. It showed a little girl writing to you and just being honest. I felt so compelled to start doing the same thing! I want to communicate with you more than just in my prayer time or when I'm reading your word. I want to also have something I can look back on over the course of time and see where I've matured (hopefully I will) and where our relationship has grown deeper. I've put a lot of thought into this and I know there will be times when I'm really raw with my emotions. There will be times when I'm really mad at you or frustrated with you and all I will want to do is just take things out on you (I know you can handle it). There will be times when I just want to write to you and thank you so much for something you did for me or someone I love. And there will be times when I've been silent for a while but hopefully that doesn't happen too often.
God I pray this might also impact other people to start doing the same thing. Maybe it might even cause a huge ripple effect to take place. I don't want to bring any attention to myself in doing this but I want to bring a LOT of attention to you. You deserve it God. You deserve so much more of my time, thoughts and energy. As I set out to do this God I pray you will hear my heart in every letter. I pray you also bless anybody who might also read these letters. Speak to their hearts and minister to them in your own special way.
Thank you God for always being there. Thank you that I can even do this and that I also have the freedom and liberty to do so. I love you God and I'm really looking forward to writing letters to you!
